Capsuleers,
Fanfest 2026 is coming back to Harpa in Reykjavik from 14-16 May 2026, and the guest keynote speakers have now been confirmed. Recently, that NASA advisor Dr. Paul M. Sutter is bringing a fun-filled talk, and we are now announcing the second guest speaker.

Dr. Beth Healey is an emergency medicine doctor, a research physician, and an extreme environment specialist. She worked for the European Space Agency, researching the effects of physical and psychological isolation on a group of people.
She has a thrilling talk in store for capsuleers:
'Space is beautiful. Space is dangerous. And space doesn’t care if you’re ready.
Dr. Beth Healey — medical doctor, researcher, and explorer — has spent months in total isolation at Concordia Station in Antarctica for the European Space Agency and worked in extreme environments from the deep ocean to polar ice.
She uncovers what it truly means to survive in hostile worlds and how the human mind copes when everything goes wrong. Beth dives into what it takes to survive, adapt, and endure — from icy isolation to the epic disasters of EVE Online.'
