GM Week is upon us!

GM Week is upon us!

GM Week is upon us! Every year, the Game Masters of Fenris Creations like to spend one week celebrating you, our players, and the community that has grown around the EVE Universe. This year, the event runs from the 28th of September to the 2nd of October, with returning activities alongside brand-new ones. Come chase down GMs in space, search the stars for password-protected containers, be on the lookout for roaming GMs loaded with goodies, finish freelance jobs for the Game Masters corporation, or seek us out in higher security areas where we will hang out and mine, chat, and enjoy this world that we’ve built together. 

On the official EVE Online Discord server, you can find a section dedicated to GM Week. You can hop in to see messages about events and happenings, talk about what’s going on, and share ideas on what we could change or add to make the week more fun. 

Starting with the streaming activities and schedule.

Whack-a-Pinata 

There is a rich tradition of redistributing the ill-gotten gains of accounts banned for automation, botting, or RMT activities during GM Week. Instead of letting the assets rot in permanently suspended accounts for eternity, we reappropriate them and return them to the residents of New Eden through various means that typically involve blowing stuff up. This iteration sees a repeat of what happened last year - a LOT of assets have been stuffed into four Upwell structures that are located in Yulai, Tarta, Emsar, and Pakhshi.  

Someone still hasn’t learned to calculate fuel costs for Upwell structures, so these structures will go abandoned around 17:00 UTC on Monday, the 28th, and right around midnight UTC on Friday, the 2nd of October. We hope no F1-hungry capsuleers show up to volley the buildings, because who knows what will spill out! And even if you cannot be there in space for the fireworks, you should catch the action on the stream, as watching capsuleers warp around the field is a sight to behold. 

OnlyCans 

Each day, we will stream on the official Fenris Creations Twitch channel, with the only visuals being four containers floating in deep space. These containers will contain SKINs, a bit of PLEX, vanity items, and other cosmetic items that are very nice to find. The only clue to their location is the container’s background on the stream. Each time, it’s a race to spot the containers, and the first person there wins the prize, as long as you can puzzle out the container's password from the question that is its name. 

Come hang out, enjoy nice tunes, and watch the pretty visuals. You might even be able to find out where the cans are located and score some loot. 

Twitch Pub quiz 

We’ve made a lore pub quiz, and a challenge was uttered when the last letter was typed: no one will get all of these right. 

That’s right, we’ve decided to host an on-stream pub quiz about EVE lore! On Wednesday, the 30th of September at 16:00 UTC, we will rev up the Fenris Creations Twitch channel and launch headfirst into the hardest lore quiz ever made by a Fenris Creations GM! There will be 1000 participant slots, so this must be a first-come, first-served deal. We look forward to seeing how many you can get right! 

Streamer-led GM & ISD roam featuring Pando 

Another tradition during GM Week is to invite a guest Fleet Commander to lead a roam filled with GMs and ISDs that just want to give back to the community, usually in a spectacularly entertaining manner. This year, Pando has agreed to take the unruly reins of the roam and lead us to glory and ISK positivity. These are always a blast, so we look forward to seeing you on the Fenris Creations Twitch channel at 17:00 UTC on Thursday , 1st of October, or meet us in-game for some fun exchanges of courtesy and support (Multifrequency and Hail, respectively).

GM Patrol 

Some of the GMs really like to go on roams, and who are we to say no to a GM’s favorite activity during GM Week? Throughout the week, you can expect roams to be streamed during Fenris' office hours as we let them have some fun. 

Not all the activities during the week are streamed. Just flying around the space that we hint towards or talk about on the EVE Online Discord can cause you to encounter any of these week-long events. 

GM Week Competitions 

Join us on the forums and participate in two competitions for great prizes. 

• Co-pilot registration 

It’s come to our attention that a lot of you have lovely, adorable, mischievous, angelic, cuddly, derpy, floofy, loafy co-pilots who assist you in your daily duties in New Eden, who have not been officially revealed to the Capsuleer community, and this cannot stand.  With your pet’s consent, please post a picture of your co-pilot who joins you in your endeavors in New Eden with some EVE paraphernalia or simply next to EVE on a screen. Anyone who posts a picture of their loved critter will get a SKIN from the newly minted Medical Enforcement Taskforce line, specifically made for GM Week, and the top three community celebrated submissions will receive further prizes. 

• SKINr Creations 

We absolutely love seeing the brimming creativity you have with SKINr, so we want to see your top SKINs! Post your creations in the forum thread and show your fellow capsuleers your wit, sense of design, or just random scribblings! 

The top three creations will receive fabulous prizes! 

Orbital Stash 

There are so many more containers placed in New Eden than just the ones you see on the OnlyCans stream. So. Many. More.  

Each day the GMs will focus on specific regions and over the course of the week we will cover all of New Eden. We will keep you informed as to which regions to search in on the Discord channels, and remember that this is a first-come, first-served kind of deal. 

Scavenger Hunt 

Instead of searching for containers, you can just play hide and seek with the GMs themselves! You can get some fun assets out of it, and maybe even a personalized SKIN made by a GM! 

Freelance Projects 

The Game Masters corporation will have freelance projects running the entire week! Join us in cleaning up space, collect Piles-O-Logs for us so we know what the hell is happening, and give us remote reps during roams. You will be rewarded for your efforts.
