by EVE Online Community Team5:00pm on Friday 10th April 2026

o7 Spacefriends!

From the Gallente Federation’s final campaign scramble to major player events, gorgeous community art, new war coverage, clever utility sites, and a charity streaming push worth rallying behind, this week’s Community Beat is stacked. Here’s what’s been happening, and what you should keep an eye on over the weekend.

So many activities! Crack open a Quafe, relax, and let's get to it! (not #sponsored)

Gallente Madness

The Gallente Elections are heading into their last stretch, and the stakes have only gone up. With the final week now live, there is fresh event content, more reasons to log in and take part, and plenty of room for capsuleers to help shape how this story closes out.

If you want a clear rundown of how to jump in, EVE Partner Lynne Rankin has been doing great work covering the event. Alongside the original guide, there is now an updated video to help players catch up on the latest developments and make the most of the final week.

The wider political picture is shifting too. The latest report from the Scope gives a snapshot of where the candidates currently stand as the race tightens, making this a perfect moment to get involved before election day arrives. New Eden News is also a fantastic resource when it comes to learning about what other changes might be coming to New Eden...

If you're looking to try your hand at some of the new content, like the Rampant Drone Fabricator site, Gustav Mannfred has you covered with a comprehensive guide and some chill beats to vibe to. These sites can be very dangerous, though, so don't drop your guard!

7 Anger 7 Games

We’ve already covered Anger Games 7 before, but it absolutely deserves another reminder: it kicks off this weekend at 17:00 UTC

One of New Eden’s longest-running player-run tournaments is back on the schedule, bringing more high-level team combat, theorycrafting, and spectator-worthy moments to Thunderdome. Whether you follow the competitive scene closely or just enjoy seeing elite pilots push doctrines to the limit, this is one worth tuning in for on the CCP TV Twitch page. There will also be some great rewards not only for those competing, but for those tuning in as well. Wager channel points, get some elusive GalNet StreamCast SKINs

Keep up to date with all the action over on the Anger Games 7 Tournament portal, and may your points always double.

Frigate Free For All!

Also happening this weekend: the Stay Frosty annual Frigate Free For All!

We’ve mentioned it before, but events like this deserve repeating because they are such a good on-ramp for players who want to dip their toes into PvP without the usual pressure. It’s a fantastic place to shake off the nerves, explode gloriously, meet friendly people, and spend a full day just having fun in one of EVE’s most welcoming community events.

If you know someone who keeps saying they want to try PvP “sometime,” this is exactly the kind of sometime they should not miss. Show up to Amamake in an empty pod, follow directions in local for a free ship, and maybe even join up with some NPSI groups or someone from your corp.

Exploring Watercolors

Battle stations deserve to be decorated, and New Eden has a ton of incredibly talented artists. El Geo, otherwise known as Lloyd George, showed off his depiction of the Astero. We're just glad there's no cloak on this one!

If you're looking for some prints - or originals - for yourself or an EVE fanatic, be sure to check out his portfolio!

War is back on the menu!

Big nullsec conflict is back on the menu, with the Imperium declaring war on WinterCo. When the two largest coalitions in the game clash, there's bound to be some crazy action. And New Eden did not disappoint!

This week we saw the first massive battle in the system of Atioth with some of the largest local counts we've ever seen. For players looking to understand the scale and tone of what may be coming, Warlock Industries and Galaxier have put together coverage that is both cinematic and informative. Whether you're new to war or just coming back and watching to catch up on all the crazy action, it is the kind of reporting that helps contextualize the early movements and gives you more of a reason to pay attention and even get involved.

Because this is EVE, no major war stays neatly contained. Even if you are nowhere near the front lines, conflicts like this have a habit of rippling outward through markets, logistics, politics, and the broader mood of the cluster.

Killmails-a-go-go

When fights get huge, standard battlereports can become a bit hard to navigate. But what if there was a different way to visualize a battle? Great news! Flow Gengod recently released a battle report tool, Killmail.app, that presents BRs with a navigable timeline so you can see a snapshot of a fight at any given moment.

For this feature, the Atioth battle report is a great example of what the site does well. It is a slick way to revisit a fight, follow the shape of an engagement, and get a more intuitive read on what actually happened beyond just a wall of losses and totals.

Flying for a cause

Finally, this weekend also includes a streaming initiative organized by Caroline Aya in support of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. NPSI activities, PvE opportunities, and a whole gang of incredibly talented people rallying for a good cause. Quintessential EVE!

You can support the cause by joining some of these fleets, or just tuning in and raising awareness throughout the weekend! Community-driven charity efforts always show one of the best sides of New Eden, and this is a good chance to show up, do some good, and back a cause that matters.

That's it for this week! If you're a podcast enjoyer, do check out the latest episode of the New Eden Review Dev Show (NERDS) where we cover some of these in a bit more detail.

Fly safe, and we'll see you soon for EVE Fanfest!
