Mark Crowther is an acclaimed University professor and chair of medicine at McMaster University, and the Leo Pharma chair in Thrombosis Research. He's also a global authority on Blood disorders and anticoagulation. In EVE Online, you might know him better by his capsuleer name Crowthrm Kaundur, a long-time member of EVE University.
In addition, he plays a very active role in the creation of the Blood Tome: Poetic EVE, the preservation of New Eden’s history in verse.

Mark Crowther will connect real-world hematology with the lore of EVE Online. Drawing on his medical career and life as a capsuleer, he'll explore how blood functions as both a biological system and a powerful narrative symbol. The keynote plans to connect the science of blood production with the mythology of the blood raider covenant, the crimson harvest, and themes of immortality, devotion, and identity.
