Greetings spacefriends, and happy Friday!
We're back with another edition of the Community Beat and New Eden has been anything but quiet. From a Nightmare fleet to a dreamy fleet of miniatures and from a dreadbrawl to 250 bubble traps in Pochven. Let's take a look.
Sometimes, it only takes one destroyed Lif to kick off a chain reaction!
When BIGAB lost their Lif while reinforcing a Metenox Moon Drill, it didn’t go unanswered. In retaliation, they reinforced a Local Is Primary Astrahus in Dal. What started as a structure timer, turned out into an all out brawl. With nearly 600 people on grid and 17 dreads lost, 248 billion ISK was destroyed.
The fight was covered by The Cope and Tristan daCuhna from Local is Primary provides some backstory in their video. For those who enjoy an amusing read, Minmatar Fleet shared an After Action Report from their perspective.
While the Amarr and Minmatar militias were fighting over the Astrahus, nullsec clashed over an anchoring Fortizar.
YouTuber A Higher Perspective shows how a Pandemic Legion fleet deployed to Atioth to help defend TEST's space when The Imperium tried to anchor a Fortizar. Here's the Battle Report to go with the video.
Over in Pochven, Span Matsutake turned the region into bubble hazard zone by methodically anchoring 250 bubbles. In a delightfully unhinged way, these bubbles at planets, suns and gates sent unsuspecting pilots straight to their doom at the hands of 'waiting' NPCs.
Far from the chaos, Watson Crick has been assembling a different kind of fleet. Brought to life with paint, patience and a steady hand, he finished giving each ship a new SKIN. If you were curious what was chosen, there's even a handy legend for the various hulls and paint jobs in the collection
And if you're heading to Fanfest 2026, you're in luck. Watson's fleet will be on display and he'll also be running a demonstration on how to paint your own ship miniatures!
Whether on table top or on digital grid, fleets are meant to be tested. During the Anger Games, teams can do just that!

The Anger Games is player-run 7v7 team deathmatch-style PvP tournament on Thunderdome. This years format has matches running across three weekends: 11 - 12 April, 18 - 19 April and 25 - 26 April, between 17:00 - 22:00 UTC each day. You will be able to follow the action live on Twitch.
Sign ups for this 7th edition are open until 15 March at 17:00 UTC or until all 60 available team slots are full, whichever occurs first. Don't wait too long!
For more information, check out this Reddit thread. If you're ready to sign up, you can go straight to the Anger Games Discord.
That's it for this edition of the Community Beat.
