Mission briefing One of our patrols spotted a Mordu's Legion strike force not far from here. We have since received intelligence confirming that the Legion has been hired to assassinate one of our high-ranking officials. We can't let this happen, of course, so we need someone of your caliber to destroy them all. Make sure no one survives.

Of course, we ourselves have used the Legion in the past for... well, for various things. So we don't want to make a big political scene out of this if we ever have to hire them in the future. That's why we mustn't send one of our own ships out to confront them. No, you're the right one for this job. Leave no trace behind; I don't want this biting us in the ass later on.

Oh, and one other thing: Our spies inform us that Taisu Magdesh might actually be part of the Mordu strike force, so be extra careful if he appears - his reputation is hard won.


Mordu's Legion

The origin of Mordu's Legion is an indirect result of the Gallente-Caldari War, during which a group of Intaki military personnel sided with the Caldari. The Intakis were placed into a separate unit commanded by a Caldari officer named Mordu. After the war, the Intakis settled in Caldari space, but unwillingly became embroiled in a battle against Caldari locals in what is now known as the Waschi Uprising. Mordu's Legion formed at that time as a mercenary fighting force, and after the uprising it stayed active, working for the highest bidder ? but, it is said, acting always with integrity and honor.

Mordu's Legion is loosely associated with the Caldari Navy, but remains independent. The Legion is commonly hired by companies to protect valuable assets in low-security space, most often near the Caldari State; for instance, Outer Ring Excavations pays the Legion handsomely to patrol the Outer Ring region.
