9:44pm 2007 Saturday 16th June 2007 Not much to add beyond what's been written already, except that destroying the pressure silos in the last stage yielded a cargo container for me. It only contained an assortment of ammunition in my case, but it doesn't take too much effort and may end up being worth it.

1:41am 2007 Saturday 2nd June 2007 Not sure if this mission changed since your last post as I recently runned it for the first time.

It is very easy if you are careful and dont kill the rat that triggers the next spawn too early. In the first two rooms this rat is a BS that always spawn next to the acceleration gate. In the last room it is always the only BS in the group.

2:01am 2007 Tuesday 29th May 2007 bloody hell, i just did attemted this mission going on the main page only to be confronted by slightly different spawns and then find in stage one im up against 10 BS because i killed the comms officers. Now im warping in and out to kill them 2 or 3 at a time.

now i look in her i can see Trelennen's excellent guide. and it wont be a problem any more. some of those notes like "dont attack x" could do with being on the main page though.

1:51am 2007 Tuesday 17th April 2007 Did it again today, and got slight variations.

[===== Stage 1 =====]
First of all, the Pith Communications Officer from first and second spawns were worth $543,750.00 (real name in the wallet = Pith Extinguisher), and the one from the third spawn was worth $712,500.00 (real name from the wallet = Pith Eliminator). So I'd guess either the Communications Officer from any of these 3 spawns can be either an Extinguisher or a an Eliminator, or that one of the 3 spawns will have an Eliminator as a Communications Officer, and the other 2 an Extinguisher.

Additionally, the first reinforcement wave I got this time had 2x Dire Pithi Imputor (Interceptors) instead of the 2x Dire Pithi Arrogator. My Guess is that a group of two frigs made with Arrogators and Imputors is made randomly (either one of each, or two of one type). I got as well 2x Pith Obliterator instead of 2x Pith Eradicator..
On the second reinforcement wave I got 4x Pithatis Enforcer instead of 3x Enforcer and 1x Assaulter, as well as 2x Pith Dismantler instead of 2x Pith Extinguisher. Prolly works like above with frigs.

It seems there's a lot of possible variations for the actual composition of the spawns.

Note: bountys for rats I forgot previously as follows
Pith Eradicator = $375,000.00
Pithior Renegade = $12,375.00
Pithior Anarchist = $11,813.00
Dire Pithi Imputor = $19,125.00
Pithatis Enforcer = $135,000.00
Dire Pithi Demolisher = $28,125.00
Pith Dismantler = $487,500.00
Pith Obliterator = $431,250.00

[===== Stage 2 =====]
Initial Spawn: got 2x Pith Eradicator instead of 1x Pith Eradicator + 1x Pith Eliminator, and Pith Extinguisher instead of Pith Eliminator
1st reinforcement: got 3x Pith Obliterator instead of 2x Pith Obliterator + 1x Pith Dismantler
2nd reinforcement: got 1x Dire Pithum Inferno + 1x Dire Pithum Mortifier ($247,500.00) instead of 2x Dire Pithum Inferno.

Note: bountys for rats I forgot previously as follows
Pithatis Enforcer = $135,000.00
Pithatis Executor = $131,250.00

[===== Stage 3 =====]
Initial spawn: got 4x Pithior Renegade ($12,375.00) instead of 2x Pithior Renegade + 2x Pithior Guerilla, and 1x Pith Exterminator instead of Pith Extinguisher.
1st reinforcement was this time:
1x Pith Destroyer (BS) - $881,250.00
1x Dire Pithum Abolisher (HAC) - $281,250.00
1x Dire Pithum Eraser (HAC) - $270,000
2x Dire Pithi Saboteur (AF) - $23,625.00
3x Dire Pithi Despoiler (AF) - $22,500.00
2nd reinforcement: again 1x Pith Destroyer instead of 1x Pith Extinguisher, and 2x Dire Pithi Invader ($21,375.00) + 2x Dire Pithi Infiltrator ($20,250.00) instead of 3x Dire Pithi Infiltrator + 1x Dire Pithi Invader

All in all, there seem to be sevearl varatiations in the rats of the spawn, but globally it stays the same each time.

1:46pm 2007 Monday 16th April 2007 Thank you a lot for the outline Trelennen!

I just tried the mission with a low-dps / high-tank outfit for my Raven, here it is:

2x Heavy NOS (named)

1x XL-Shield Boost II, 2x Ballistic Deflection II, 1x Heat Dissipation II, 2x Cap Recharger II

1x BCU, 4x Capacitor FLUX Coil

2x ccc rigs, 1x thermal shield resi rig

Worked extremely well and I notice I was a bit too paranoid about tank, if you know the triggers and don't mess up you'll be fine with a lot less tank and maybe 2 more BCU's!

Here's the DPS of the initial spawn (I didn't find the Comm. Officer in the database so for it I've added 50% more than the dps of an Obliterator).

DPS
Kinetic: 288,5 Thermal: 159 Total: 447,5

If you're worried about the mission just take off your resistances off those numbers and if you can handle this one, the other rooms should not be a problem :) Just remember: Communications Officer & Extinguisher go last!

I had some difficulties taking out those HA's but after a short refit to heavy missiles they went down pretty fast (a target painter with cruise missiles would do the job on the hac's but those assault frigs in the last room were kinda hard)

[===== Stage 2 =====]

First reinforcement wave
1x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
1x Pith Dismantler
2x Pith Obliterator (BS) - $431,250.00
Trelennen

I got 2x Dismantler instead of 2x Obliterator.

In the second reinforcement wave, I had 1x Dire Pithum Inferno and 1x Dire Pithum Mortifier.

I've not had Pith Eliminator (BS). But there was Pith Extinguisher (BS). It's death called reinforcements.

10:17pm 2007 Monday 9th April 2007 Mission has changed again (I guess with the last patch or so), and now features escalation paths.

[===== Stage 1 =====]
Aggro after warp in
Intial Spawn
1x Pith Communications Officer (BS) - $712,500.00
3x Pith Eradicator (BS)
1x Pithior Renegade (Destroyer)
3x Pithior Anarchist (Destroyer)

When you attack the Pith Communications Officer, reinforcements spawn. Be careful with your drones, they might hit him by mistake, and one hit is enough
First reinforcement wave
1x Pith Communications Officer (BS) - $543,750.00 (same name but different ship than first wave)
1x Pith Dismantler (BS)
2x Pith Eradicator (BS) - $375,000.00 (Scorpion type)
2x Dire Pithi Arrogator (Frig or Destroyer, can't remember)

When you attack the Pith Communications Officer, reinforcements spawn. Be careful with your drones, they might hit him by mistake, and one hit is enough
Second reinforcement wave
1x Pith Communications Officer (BS) - $543,750.00 (same name but different ship than first wave)
2x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
3x Pithatis Enforcer (BC)
1x Pithatis Assaulter (BC)
1x Dire Pithi Destructor (Frig) - $27,000.00
1x Dire Pithi Demolisher (Frig)

[===== Stage 2 =====]
No aggro after warp in
Intial Spawn
1x Pith Eliminator (BS) - $712,500.00
1x Pith Eradicator (BS) - $375,000.00 (Scorpion type)
1x Pith Obliterator (BS) - $431,250.00
1x Pithatis Enforcer (BC)
1x Pithatis Executor (BC)

When you kill the Pith Eliminator, reinforcements spawn. It might be with last rat killed though, as I took him last each time, but doubt it.
First reinforcement wave
1x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
1x Pith Dismantler
2x Pith Obliterator (BS) - $431,250.00

When you kill the Pith Extinguisher, reinforcements spawn. It might be with last rat killed though, as I took him last each time, but doubt it.
Second reinforcement wave
1x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
1x Pith Dismantler
2x Pith Obliterator (BS) - $431,250.00
2x Dire Pithum Inferno (HAC) - $258,750.00
Note : BS doesn't aggro unless you shoot him directly, or get close. However, if he isn't aggro, there's high chances he'll shoot your drones when you'll be killing the HACs.

[===== Stage 3 =====]
No aggro after warp in
Initial Spawn
1x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
1x Dire Pithum Nullifier (HAC)
1x Dire Pithum Annihilator (HAC)
2x Pithior Guerilla (Destro)
2x Pithior Renegade (Destro)
Note : BS doesn't aggro unless you shoot him directly, or get close. However, if he isn't aggro, there's high chances he'll shoot your drones when you'll be killing the HACs.

When you kill the Pith Extinguisher, reinforcements spawn. It might be with last rat killed though, as I took him last each time, but doubt it.

1x Pith Extinguisher (BS) - $543,750.00
2x Dire Pithum Eraser (HAC)
4x Dire Pithi Despoiler (AF)
Note : BS doesn't aggro unless you shoot him directly, or get close. However, if he isn't aggro, there's high chances he'll shoot your drones when you'll be killing the HACs.

1x Dire Pithum Eraser (HAC)
1x Dire Pithum Abolisher (HAC)
3x Dire Pithi Infiltrator (AF)
1x Dire Pithi Invader (AF)

No interesting loot when I did it (including in the small armories and other similar structures in last stage). Salvage is decent but not great (4-5M maybe).

As for personal experience, I did this in a Maelstrom, with mixed rack of 1400s and 1200s named (will move to 1200s most likely), XL Booster II, Boost Amp I, 2x Invul II, 1x Kinetic II, 1x Webber (no need for this mission, should have either used my Tracking Comp II or a second boost amp), 1x DCII, 1x Gyro II, 1x Tracking Enhancer II, 2x PDUII, 1x Capacitor Control Circuit I rig, 1x Projectile Locus Coordinator I rig, mostly with Depleted Uranium and Emp ammo, and packing a set of Vespa II and a set of Hornet II (and a set of Warrior II, but didn't use them here) for tacklers.

I had absolutely no issue keeping up my tank above 50% cap and 50% shield - with BS4, cap skills at 5, shield skills at 4 except shield op at 5 of course for the booster). It's been close though in first stage when 3rd group (2nd reinforcement wave) popped, even though I had no trouble tanking the fisrt reinforcement wave along with all the BS from the first spawn because my drones accidentaly hit the trigger. Dunno why I've been hurt so much by the third wave.

Stage 2 and 3 have been a breathe. All in all though it's been a long mission, as it took me nearly 2h to complete, plus quite some time to loot/salvage as the wrecks were all over the place. Now that I know I can do it with not much risk, I would prolly do it a bit faster. Nice LP reward, ISKs are not much, although there's roughly 15M bounty overall on the rats (so it's still quite nice if you can do it faster than I did).

12:48am 2007 Friday 16th March 2007 Tanked up with good passive enerigized kin, 1 eanm, therm hardener, kin hardener in an apoc. Had no probs taking the aggros in a kitted ship.

There are tons of veld roids in lvl 1&2 didnt see how big but many were big, especially on lvl 1.

7:33pm 2007 Saturday 3rd March 2007 I just ran this mission again last night , for the third time now . I noticed now there are Imputors and Arrogators ( both are Condors ) that webb and Scram , so pop those first . I can finally tank rooms 1-3 without warp-out . Raven mostly T-2 except for launchers , 5 Hammerheads are a great help for sure . I run 3 Hardeners + 2 Resistance Amps ( i know , it's strange set-up ) X-Large Shield Booster II ( no Extenders at all ) Beta Cap Controls x2 in lows + PDS II x3 and CCC Rigs x3 for a Cap Regen of 243 . This is critical on a Raven to ween yourself of using those cap Booster Charge 800's which hog space and eventually leave you high and dry . I hope this set-up may help some pilots out there . It works for me , but it will vary accordung to skill levels . ( like everything in EVE )

1:37pm 2007 Saturday 3rd March 2007 This mission is easily doable (all stages) if you turn and burn the moment you warp in. Get yourself to around 85 km before engaging and keep flying away.WardenWolf
I found this way was the best way to do this mission. It takes a bit longer to get back to the gates but there is little chance of you loosing your ship through the ships jamming and scramming you.

It appears that the Guristas have been gathering en masse inside ****. Obviously they have been trying to keep a low profile, as they have split their armada into multiple groups. But nonetheless my superiors are extremely nervous at these tidings. We'd like you to remove their presence from **** for good, before they manage to gather enough ships here to launch a massive offensive against one of our strongholds. I'll supply you with the bookmarks that you need to find them. Just remember, do not let them know under any circumstances who you are working for, we do not want to receive a retribution attack should you fail.

6:35pm 2007 Friday 2nd February 2007 This mission is completely different from the 10 part eve info description, since it has 3 main parts.

on the first stage i was able to agro the first group- (the closest) wo agroing the rest, and i was able to use drones too. Then just before i would have finished the first groups BSs i got agro from the secound (bigger) group.

The second and the third stages are somewhat harder as for eg i got full agro on the 3rd part.

I did this mission in a nighthawk- tanking was not an issue at all:

setup: 6x t2 heavy m, gist b-type ballistic, gist b-type heat, and dread guri invul field, copasetic sba, gist x-type large sb, 1x pds II, 3x bcu II, dmg ctrl II

10:03am 2007 Wednesday 10th January 2007 stupid mission, a waste of time traveling 90km to beacons after rewarps...
2nd and 3rd stages aggro is mostly unpredictable
drones may or may not cause total aggro

first pocket is easy

second and third are quite difficult, best way is to align for rewarp and move in that direction keeping distance from enemy while killing BCs and cruisers first, then battleships, frigs last

long range is your friend !

5:05am 2006 Friday 29th December 2006 If you agro the 4th group in the last pocket you will recieve full agro.

2:51am 2006 Monday 25th December 2006 This mission is easily doable (all stages) if you turn and burn the moment you warp in. Get yourself to around 85 km before engaging and keep flying away. They won't be able to close with you fast enough to do any real damage. Long range is key here. If you usually use a short-ranged setup, I strongly recommend you choose a different one or you will get quickly overwhelmed. I completed it with a mostly Tech2 Raven.

High: 4x Arbalest cruise racks, 2x Torpedo Launcher II, 2x Heavy Diminishing NOS.

Mid: 1x XL Overload booster, 1x Cap Recharger II, 2x Kinetic hardener II, 2x Thermal hardener II

Low: 2x Power Diagnostic System II, 2x Ballistic Control II, 1x Signal Amplifier IIWardenWolf

9:11am 2006 Tuesday 19th December 2006 Mission changed. Here is an excerpt from the other mission info site I use (can not remember URL):

Reported by: defiler
Additions by: Ehrys Marakai
Drone aggro report by: Chepe Nolon

Faction: Guristas
Mission type: Encounter (beacons)
Damage dealt: Kinetic, Thermic
Reccomended damage dealing: kinetic(thermic)

Completed with: T1 "Blasterthron", 1x Large and 1x Medium Armor Repairer II, 2x Kinetic and 1x Thermic Hardener (defiler)
Completed with: Dual repairer Domi with wrong hardeners. (Chepe Nolon).
Completed with: CNR with Basilisk support (Storm Mage)

NOTES ON ALL POCKETS:
No aggro at jump-in, so you have a chance to assess the situation.
No drone aggro, I used drones extensively throughout the mission without a hitch
Buildings drop no loot except for some ammo.
Got jammed quite a bit during this mission by everything from frigs to battleships.

FIRST POCKET:
Three groups:
Left (near): 7 Cruisers, 4 Frigates
Straight ahead: 2 Battleships, 4 Cruisers, 12 Frigates
Beacon: 1 Battleship, 7 Cruisers

Went through the groups in that order, didn't get aggro from the others.
Very easy (by comparison...)

SECOND POCKET:
Lower left: 3 Battleships, 4 Cruisers
Straight ahead: 2 Battleships, a bunch of Cruisers and Frigates
Straight ahead at the big asteroid: 6 Cruisers, 3 Frigates
Far left: 12 Frigates
Beacon: 1 Battleship, 5 Frigates.

Note: 2 and 3 are a bit sketchy, at first I thought they were just one group.

Aggro from the second group when I attacked the nearest (lower left).
Ehrys Marakai reports that the first group should be aggroed, since the second and third would cause aggro from everything.
Drone aggro if you got long range drones and you only aggro 50% of the pocket. Having below 50km range does not get you aggro
Should be fairly easy as long as you only aggro one group at a time.

THIRD POCKET:
Near left: 1 Cruiser, 6 Frigates
Near right: 12 Cruisers
Far left: 6 Battleships, 5 Cruisers
Far right: 4 Cruisers, 4 Frigates.

Wow, this was a tough one. Attacked near left at first, got aggro against everything except the fourth group.

Then I warped out and proceeded to probe them, trying aggro against all groups, but then EVERY group would aggro me. Attacked the first group once more, then the others wouldn't aggro until I attacked or got too close (the usual 30km or so I think). Don't know why, maybe it's random. Anyways, once I got to that point this third and last pocket didn't prove much of a challenge either.
