Mission briefing We've been gathering information from our numerous agents within the Guristas to prepare ourselves for a possible attack on our assets. So far we've found out that they are planning a major offensive against a target within *** today. The target still remains unknown to us, but we have managed to discover the meeting point of some of their forces. I want you to gather all the help you can muster and fly out to the meeting points and deliver a devastating blow to their fleet. That should deter them from any attack inside Hageken, and send them a message they won't forget.

Just don't forget what you're up against. We have no idea how many ships are out there, all we know is where 5 of their rendezvous points are. Destroy any and all targets you can find there, then report back to me. If there's too many of em out there, then get some help, I'm sure some of our other agents in the vicinity would be willing to give you a hand.

3:24am 2008 Monday 9th June 2008 This mission, for some reason, is my all time favorite mission :)

It is probably the easiest mission to fit your ship for : 7 HML II, 3 LSE II, 3 Purgers, 2 SPR II, 2 BCS II, 1 Kinetic Hardener II, and 2 passive Kinetic Resistance AmplifierII's.

With this, you have 90%+ resistance, and can passively permatank the whole room's aggro. (passive + 1 hardener : )

It guarantees 30M+ isk in bounties, and more than the same in loot, and/or Minerals/Salvage. It's a very straightforward mission.

Only problem is that I have probably done this mission 20 times now, but never gotten any faction loot, ever. I have destroyed the war installation (before entering bonus stage) the first 10 times, or so, and not the last 10 or so... no difference, no faction loot, no lottery ticket for me.

But I would agree with an above poster, it is probably not worth it, ISK-wise, to do this mission, since you can get others that are faster, BUT...

At least, this mission keeps you occupied, safely, and steadily, for a few hours, without having to warp out, change fitting, or anything...

I bring my alt in a destroyer/salvager (he's got leadership skills!) and he will tractor, loot, salvage, and haul the stuff to the station. (my destroyer has 829m2 cargo space, and I haul MANY loads)

6:41pm 2007 Thursday 1st November 2007 This really is a cake mission. The only thing ANYONE needs to remember from all of these posts is SAVE THE FRIGS FOR LAST. One spawn after another. Anyone can handle six or seven agro at a time. Doesn't matter wich room, they all act the same.

It's extremely outdated. It makes no mention of the fact that you actually get BC spawns, not just cruisers and the how the additional waves work.

11:42pm 2007 Wednesday 4th July 2007 I didn't know what was causing the additional waves in the second room, but I was able to handle it.

Then I got to the third room and accidentally caused three additional waves to spawn at once.

The mission is now impossible because the giant pile of battleships in there can break my tank before I can kill ANYTHING.

Thanks CCP for the complete lack of warning regarding changes to this mission and causing me to lose standing for not being able to complete it.

Doing that sort of procedure like the destruction of the facility are kind of like closing your eyes before opening a package of baseball cards, either there are going to be rare items in there or they arent, you arent changing the outcome by doing things that are pre-determined (like the loot table

12:04pm 2007 Friday 4th May 2007 Just completed this one last night but went back to do the War Installation after doing the bonus mission. Might have guessed, NO faction loot. Next time it'll be done the other way as posted above.

p.s. It's now different with Webbifying Frigs triggering a new spawn to warp in. It's not that hard but it took me ages to do in my Drake. So only kill 1 at a time unless you're awesome.

9:16pm 2007 Friday 27th April 2007 Hey folks,

actually I think CCP made the mission easier the way it is now.

Pocket 1 has no triggered respawn.
Pocket 2, 3 and 5 have three triggered spawns.
Pocket 4 has two triggered spawns.

Trigger is as stated above *always* one of the maximum two frigates (Guristas Webifier or Guristas Kyoukan), so not that many problems controlling the amount of opponets you have to face at the same time. Each respawn is about the same size with 5-7 ships.

Bounty total is 28.9m in pockets 1-5 and an additional 5.3m in pocket 6 aka Bonusstage.

The Bonusstage itself didn´t change at all and still drops faction loot for the lucky missionrunner, at least it did for me yesterday. And by the way I did not blow up the Battlestation in pocket 5 to address that funny urban legend that you have to blow the Battlestation in order to have a chance to get faction loot. ;)

6:48am 2007 Friday 27th April 2007 Yeah, just encountered the same. Any sort of attack even NOS triggers next spawn. In process of completing solo so don't know how the drop is in the last room.

Also why BS's first then BC's? rooms are alot easier when the BC's are dead =0) They don;t hit for much but its fast. They go down quick might as well send 4 volleys their way and have them dissapear instead of tanking them through a BS.

Just my thoughts. Same goes for every MMo out there tanking multi spawns.

5:55am 2007 Friday 27th April 2007 Above confirmed. The Triggers are the Frigates, so ignore them unless you need to warp away or you will get swarmed. DO NOT USE DRONES UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Once your drones even aggro the frigs, they cause the next spawn to appear. Just watch your fire and pick off the BS first, then cruisers. once you want the next spawn to appear, start popping shots at frigs to trigger the next spawn. On the plus side, the last room is a LOT less laggy and they have improved the drop from the station. I did not have time to do the last room

4:21pm 2007 Thursday 26th April 2007 Guys, be warned. The latest Rev 1.4.2 patch have changed L4 GE. Now it's quite deadly for soloists. My gang of 4 took some time to clear out 2nd room due to the new surprises. Now you won't see as many enemies at once, but if you hit the wrong ship, a new batch of reinforcements will spawn and each spawn contain at least 2-3 BS, a few cruisers and a couple frigates. Each spawn is about 7-10 ships. And the new spawn will also have a ship that will call in reinforcements UPON BEING ATTACKED. So guys, watch what you hit. For those trying to gather data on the new GE, get into a gang before trying it, just in case the first guy hit the wrong thing in a continous streak and ended up with a room full of BSes. There's more BS now, but that means it's more deadly until you figure out which one not to hit.

Yes it sounds similar to The Blockade or the Pirate Invasion, where an unique rat will spawn more rats. New GE4, however, does not abide by this rule. The rats that me and my gang thought that was the trigger, wasn't it at all. GE4 spawn triggers are not unique rats. Take note.

8:52am 2007 Sunday 25th February 2007 Did the mission the other night solo in a Scorpion full of T2 mods, no faction gear, but capacitor oriented rigs. Did everything including the bonus without having to warp out (but kept aligned to a gate just in case).

Destroyed the War Installation and found a 75mm dread gurista railgun. Not sure if that's good loot or not, it's my first faction item though.

Probably took me about 5hrs to do it all though (including checking all wrecks for loot, never know where those "arbie" launchers might be hidding 8) )

Fairly good challenge for a medium equiped, and skill point type L4 mission runner.

12:10am 2007 Thursday 11th January 2007 I just completed this L4 Mission yesterday. I took out the War Facility (4 loads of my Cerb) the loot was ok. Did the 6th level and I did get a Faction "Dread Guristas Heat Dissipation Field" shield hardener. Did the mission in Oichiya .... keep the faith :D

If the bonus area isn't dropping faction loot, then this mission probably isn't worth doing. You can do 3-5 other missions in the time it takes to do this one and get much more LP as well as more ISK.

One tricky part in the 5th stage is, if you have drones that can go up to 60km distance you need to be extra care when you release them because they always go for the 2 Heavy Missile Batteries. So every time they blow up an enemy, give them a new target otherwise… full agro…

I think I might have found a link of when I destroyed the Guristas War Installation before starting the 6th stage and when I got faction loot. The last 3 times I did stage 6 before destroying the Guristas War Installation, I didn't get faction loot (muon coil BC was the best non-faction).

So warp back, get your 6 siege launchers and 3x BCS II loaded, and bring about 800 torps (1000 if you didn't equip guns) and 5 medium drones. Grab a beer and be ready to reload about 4 times. Wait for the explosion, then get your big cap booster and refit to solo stage 6. If you're not using tech II equipment, you'd better have a friend along to repair your ship in stage 6.

Can anyone confirm this? I just ran the mission without killing the war installation and didn't get faction loot. The most valuable thing in my cargo when I left was the diamond tag I entered with.

My favorite faction loot - Dread Guristas Invulnerability Field! That'll give you extra staying power in Angel missions :)

Your Guristas Diamond Tag is never consumed. Just don't dump it in the corp hangar with the rest of the junk or someone else will snag it and you'll never see it again (speaking from experience).

8:18pm 2006 Monday 18th September 2006 you do need the tag, but activating the gate does not consume your tag, so you can use it again and again. unlike the ANGEL extravaganza, this mission DOES consume your tag so you need multiple of them (if you have to warp out that is).

3:21am 2006 Monday 18th September 2006 Did bonus stage tonight, didnt need Diamon Tag, i had it in my cargo but after gate activation it didnt disapear..
Was around 6BSs, 6 BCs and bunch of frigs/destroyers. No Dread, just usual BSs so boo-hoo here.
When u warp in 2 Sentries attack u doing EM damage, if u shoot back whole spawn aggroes.
Did it in a Dominix+Tempest with logistic drones, just shot down all the BCs with tempest and killed frigs with Domi drones. Had no faction/t2 fitted and i dont think u even need it there.

p.s. loot in strucures was crap ;<

11:39am 2006 Wednesday 30th August 2006 I've gotten that NPC both times I've run this mission as well. Doesn't seem to be tied to any particular pocket, but if you shoot at her, the remaining pockets will aggro you. I just save her for last and then take her 1v1.

12:26am 2006 Wednesday 30th August 2006 You probably attacked one of the two Guristas Heavy Missile Batteries. In some missions, attacking missile batteries or other structures will cause the entire stage to aggro on you, this is one of those missions. In the last stage, you need to tank those two batteries while you take out the other spawns. Since you should be tanked for kinetic damage, this turns out to not be a big deal at all so long as you know that you need to do it.

You can safely attack the Amarr missile batteries in stage 4 and only aggro one of the spawns. A good thing too, because those missile batteries hurt if you aren't tanked for EM, which of course you probably aren't for this mission.

Instead of cruisers theres ferox's and instead of frigs theres Destroyers.

I managed the first 4 stages fine, just agro'ed each bloack of pirates one at a time. But the 5 stage the whole room agro'ed me and could not complete it, at this point, took me 3 hours to get to the 5th stage them DT came :(

Guess I have to do it all over again
