Mission briefing We have a bit of a problem on our hands with a recently fired employee of ours. He was working as a deep cover agent for us, and now he is threatening to release all the information to DED about what we have been doing. We cannot have this happen. If he does make it to the DED headquarters in Yulai, *** will face serious repercussions. Eliminate this threat as soon as possible to ensure that he doesn't get the information to DED agents. I'll put into your way-points where he was last seen. Return here and let me know that he is dead.

12:25am 2008 Sunday 3rd August 2008 Why are you mixing active and passive tank on a Raven?

For that matter, why even bother with resist rigs on a Raven?

Did this with a cut and dry torp Raven set-up:

Highs
6x ZW-4100 Siege Missile Bay
Mjolnir Torps (First Room)
Inferno Torps (2nd and 3rd Rooms)

Mids

Heavy Electrochemical Capictor Booster (800s)
Photon Scattering Field II
Ballistic Deflection Field II
Heat Dissipation Field II
Invulnerability Field II

First Room

When you warp in you see the frigate size drones and 2 Sentry guns. The 2 sentries immediately aggro you. After a moment 2 Elite Drone Parasites spawn near the frigate drones, and a few moments more, 3 more elite drones spawn on the gate.

Let the sentries fire on you, but don't fire back as it aggros the frigates, and the DPS isn't bad anyways. Take out the first EDP spawn (the 2) and then the second (the 3). I had to warp out after killing the first of the second spawn.

Then take out the frigs and sentries. Unlike normal frigs, you're torps do acceptable DPS on these f*ckers. Sinse I use t1 drones atm, I do this to speed up the process, otherwise I would say only use drones as to not waste torps.

Second Room

With everything that spawns, this room seems intimidating at first. tbh, the damage is easily manageable.

Wait for the first spawn to aggro you. Use your drones to take down the frigs (spider drones first, as they scram) and your torps to take care of the ECs. Unlike some other missions, your drones won't aggro the spawns around you. The damage from the first spawn was small enough to not even worry about turning on my shield booster yet.

After you take out the first spawn, just work on the next spawns based on distance.

The second spawn is easy as pie. Damage is easily manageable, and they drop really quick.

When you aggro the 3rd spawn based on distance (2 machs and 2 Spider drones), you will aggro the rest of the ships. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to check to see if aggroing the EC and Mach spawn would aggro the spawn with Spiders and Machs.

In either case, the DPS isn't too harsh. Only had to salvo my Shield Booster a couple times, and wasted very few Cap charges. The ECs and Machs drop really quick. Just work it down, and you'll be fine. I only needed to reload 2 times in this room. Once by choice.

Third Room

When you warp in here, what you see is what you get. Nothing else spawns. 5 Sentry IIIs and 2 Sentry IIs with you're objective target.

The damage from the sentries isn't as bad as it first seems. Just take out your objective, and head out. You might need to salvo your booster a couple times to buy time to take out you're objective, but it isn't bad at all. Unless you like to kill everything and pop structures for possible loot, it is unnecissary to kill everything in the last room to complete the mission.

-----------------

Overall, the mission isn't difficult at all. I've had much more difficult missions, and there are much more difficult missions to be had. Warped out one time in the first room to restock on booster charges and regen my shields. Easy Peasy.

11:53pm 2007 Friday 13th April 2007 The 1. step is most critical. Specially Elite Drone Parasite, they have good resist and they really hurt. But mostly this mission is not so bad that I was thinking for others posts.
I do this with solo with Drake and I have no problems. Few times need to warp out, but that's it.

7x Heavy

2x Hardeners (specific)
1x Amplifier
1x AB
1x LSE

2x SPR
1x BCS
1x PDS

2:34am 2007 Tuesday 13th March 2007 First time last weekend on this one. What a hoot!

Drake

7 x Heavy

2 x LSE
3 x Hardeners (room specific)
1 x AB

2 x BCS
1 x PDS
1 x SPR

Note: no tech II gear.

Toughest part of the entire mission was Elite Drone Parasites in the first room. Getting too close to more than one is suicide as their DPS is hectic, long range (>~60km) minimises exposure but maxmises the effect of their defender missiles (which are very effective), so these take time in a non techII BC.

The only other troubling room was the final one with Sentry III's hitting with massive EM DPS, with some heavy thermal users in the same room, getting the tank mix right is important.

Key with all rooms is to avoid, at all costs, getting webbed. As things get out of hand very quickly if you do. So take out fast webbers/scramblers first, hence my AB to give me extra time for this, then cruisers and BC at long range, then in a fast low orbit to take out each BS by eliminating his defender missile capability, and getting 'under his guns'. BC 1, BS 0.

Like all missions, strategy is crucial. Know your ships limits and work to them. Don't try to carve up the entire room on warp-in, take some time to think about your gameplay. Be aware that BS and sentry kills can trigger spawns/full aggro. Use speed as an offensive or defensive weapon as the situation dictates etc.

Will be interested to see how my new Raven handles this one. But for now I really enjoy the challenge of fighting above my weight in the Drake on these kinds of missions.

9:40am 2006 Tuesday 31st October 2006 Some of you clones would ask: why the damn hell of 0.0 you are going into that mish in a BC? Well, because I want to :-)

Stage 1 is dealable with a Brutix and some t2 fittings, t2 drones. When warped in I directly went on »run-puppy-run-escape-course« and moved out the first spawn. The Elite Drone Domis really hurt hard and they get also sentry support. Bad, bad. But history!

Then I agroed the Strain drone which will scramble to play the same game again. But this time it was really getting hard for a good 7 months skilled clone in his BC. You always should stay on distance or you are forced to warp out, if you are not a Raven camping pussy. :-)

Last but not least you need to play games with this »Elite Drone Trio Infernale«. They hurt hard, harder, the hardest and it's a matter of a new hardener fitting to get them down successfully in mid/close combat with explosive t2 drones. Don't use EM Drones because those bastards have 80% EM resistance.

Stage 2 is a real nightmare for a BC. I would say you need big and hard balls to warp there. And a new fitting with 2x Therm 1x EM and a Multihardener in my case is necessary to survive that Kamikaze mish. I switched my 60 Million 'Meditation' Repper to a Repper II of course :-)
For someone who is unsure should scout with a shuttle first. I could turn 90 degrees left to an emergency-warp-target and got immediately agro and was intercepted by webbing spiders. Nice thrill and I could warp out with 100% undamaged shuttle.

Then the time for beeing a hero will come or not. With my Brutix I turned left with ABII activated immediately and ... no agro?! ... so I could approach to a saver range and agroed the top spawn with 7 commanders at 63km in hope to get enough time. There are some named big boys. All ships are fast and deadly. You feel like a little snotty nose playing bad games with mafia gangsters. I got agro from 2 spwans and was webbed by those 5.000m/s spiders in a few seconds. The DPS is insane but tankable a while. Could grab my drones back and escape after bringing down the spiders and beeing bombarded and orbited by mercenaries.

I went in again and again. I was sure I could done this solo but it was getting late. So I ordered in local some backup. Thanks to those guys. You saved my night and next day.

Probably next time ... solo BC level 4 suicide to be continued!

Fly strong skilled!

1:43pm 2006 Tuesday 3rd October 2006 OK I did this for the first time last night in a Raven:

6 x Cruise
2 x Heavy Nos

4 x Hardeners(1xtherm, 1xkin, 1xEM, 1xMultispec)
1 x Shield Amp
1 x XL Shield Booster

1 x BCU
2 x PDU
2 x WCS :P

Stage 1

So when you warp in on the first section you warp right into the middle of a bunch of drones, kill the domi first it does the most damage, and use explosive missiles as it doesn't have that much shields and its resistances are high all round. Fly away from the two turrets preferably aligned to cut down their damage. Then kill the drones that are aggroed.

After this initial counter keep tanking the damage from the sentries and try to get some Shields and Cap back.

Next step is to take on the 3 Domi's by the gate (if you attack the sentries you will aggro all rats in the first stage). Orbit them at 70km and pop em one by one, you should take minimal damage this way.....takes a while but you will kill them eventually and you should stay 100k away from the sentries to cut their damage down.

Once the 3 Domis are killed kill the closest sentry which will aggro the rest of the drones and save you some flight time :P Make sure you use EM damage for everything that isn't a Domi in this by the way. You shouldn't have a prob killing the rest of this section.

Stage 2

Fit Thermal damage.

You will be aggroed by a large group of Commanders when you enter and 2 spider drones and some webifiers. Kill the commanders, their DPS is insane, set your drones on the smaller stuff.

Once killed go for the group near the gate with one BS. Again kill the commanders first and Nos the BS which will orbit at 4k.

Everything left is linked so make sure you have full cap and shields, I didn't and I had to warp out :P Kill the commanders first (do you see a theme? :P) And nos the two BS's which orbit at 4k.

Stage 3

Kill the mission objective dude, he has massive DPS, then kill all the Sentry III's as soon as pos. Easy end stage.

Job's a good'un

Its a hard mish but I ran it with the same set up all the way through

3:59pm 2006 Monday 25th September 2006 Ogres might not be the best to use as they are the slowest of the heavy drones. Berserkers might be better as they are the fastest.

4:03am 2006 Sunday 24th September 2006 Yeah this mission is one of the harder lvl4s...it was also my 2nd level4 mission. lol

I did the first room without warping with 2 Exp 2 Kin 1 Therm Hardener
The EDP still did quite a lot of damage but tankabale.

The 2nd room is really tough to tank with 1 large tech2 rep. My domi was tanked 1 EM 2, 2 Therm 2, 1 Kin 2, 1 Exp 2. Key is to have 2 Heavy Nos. My cap skills are at 4/4 and my cap was into 25-30% range after awhile w/nos running.

The first thing is get aligned. 2nd, take out spiders. 3rd is debatle. It takes a long time to take out the battleships mwding away from my Ogre II's so the best strategy may be taking out the 5+ cruisers which pop in 10 seconds or less.

7:07pm 2006 Saturday 23rd September 2006 Yeah this mission is a nightmare. it was also my second level 4 mission O.o

First stage you have to hard tank ther and Kin, as thats what the elete drone parasites kick out The parasites are tied to a certain distance from the gate however so you can snipe them, or warp in throw drones at them and run like a girl (which is what I did)

Be warned, the second stage needs a different tank to the first. The database badly needs updating on this as there are several named NPC Battleships and they hurt like blases. Move really quickly too. Not sure if my drones aggroed them or not but they were all over me in seconds. I asked around my corp and everyone says its been made a lot harder since the patch. I got through it eventually but I must have warped out 1504 times.

12:59pm 2006 Sunday 10th September 2006 Heya, think this is where to put it
Well three of the mach's in the second stage now have names, and they read as such

In the dual mach spawn,
1. Roranok Nesmyrthas
2. Jericho Tezmar

And in the solo Mach, 5 crusier spawn
1. Yarl Uzbeki

No crazy tanks on them, but they are ac machs, so take em out fast.

11:09pm 2006 Thursday 27th July 2006 A pure nightmare mission for l4 noobs. The first drone stage is extreme critical if you don't kill the scramblers first. The drone attack needs a good tank. My Corp mate lost 2 FEROX with t2 fittings there. The second stage is a pure nightmare for BC's. With a RAVEN, good fittings and better skills it's a hard mission but managable.

More I can't say actually.

Life strong skilled and efficient!
