Guristas Pirates

Type Kill
Target Kill all NPC's
Steps 5
Mission briefing I just received a transmission from reliable sources that the Guristas Pirates are planning a raid somewhere within ***. We know that they will strike sometime in the next 24 hours but that's about it. Now we'd like to be ready for them, we've already organized a few teams of mercenaries who are supposed to guard checkpoints near every stargate of this system, to insure that the pirates won't slip past us. I'd like you to set up a blockade near one of these checkpoints, ***. Gather everyone you can muster, I expect you to hold the area against any hostile ship that gets through that stargate. I'm counting on you!

4:28pm 2008 Saturday 12th January 2008 I did it. Now I am salvaging... I got more than 5 milions in bounty prizes.

12:41am 2008 Saturday 12th January 2008 Exactly what I got. I could not survive for more than 3 minutes there with my Tech 1 Drake. Any ideas? I mean, what tanking should I use? I use Scourge Heavy Missiles in 7 launchers, but they are shooting at me from 100+ kms, and with all 7 launchers I could not kill a mortifier from 45 km.

Any help would be highly apreciated.

7:47am 2007 Saturday 29th September 2007 Just thought I'd give an update. It seems that the second spawn is time triggered but I may be wrong.

10:17pm 2007 Friday 28th September 2007 Thought I would share my experience.

[1] Caldari Statis Tower

Wave 1
[4][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Executor
[3][ Cruiser] Dire Pithum Inferno
[1][ Destroyer] Pithior Renegade [Trigger]

Wave 2
[1][ Frigate] Pithi Destructor
[5][ Destroyer] Pithior Nihilist
[5][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Executor
[1][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Assaulter [Trigger]

Wave 3
[4][ Destroyer] Pithior Nihilist
[3][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Executor
[3][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Enforcer
[2][ Cruiser] Dire Pithum Inferno
[1][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Death Dealer [Trigger]

Wave 4
[4][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Enforcer
[3][ Cruiser] Pithum Eraser
[3][ Frigate] Dire Pithi Plunderer
[4][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Executor
Clear of all NPCs [Trigger]

Wave 5
[4][ Frigate] Dire Pithi Saboteur [Jammer]
[4][Battlecruiser] Pithatis Revolter

Hint: I would warp in at 0m and destroy the stasis tower to avoid getting webbed. Destroy each wave leaving the trigger for last. I would suggest tanking the trigger first before starting the next group to give your cap time to recharge.

1:29pm 2007 Friday 1st June 2007 This mission is pretty easy, but i tooks a lot of time. I did it more than one time in my Drake. My Char is just before 18 mio sp's. Do a passive Shieldtank as follows:

Highs:
7 x Heavy Msl Launcher II (or use malkuth for better pg)
1 x Tractor Beam
Meds:
3 x Large Shield Extender (use named)
1 x Invu Field II (or V-M 15 named invu)
2 x Shield Recharger II (or use named)
Lows:
2 x Shield Power Relay II (or use named)
2 x BCS II (or use BCS I)

Drone Bay:
5 x Hornet II (or I)

Warp in at 0m. Stop while doing to warp. Warp to 50 km. That brings your out to 50 km's away from the enemy. The Drake is passiv tanked, so you regen 183 shield/sec (for tech I items a little bit fewer). It's ok for tanking the respawns. they respawn about 100 km's away. so, your shield is up again, if the next spawn arrives. the trigger is every time the unique named ship in the spawn! take this ship last! use the drones for the frigs and destroyers! beware to take aggro first and bring your drones back to drone bay before each spawn.

Did this mission some times before for guristas and as enemy had concord ships. that was much harder! enemy guristas is VERY EASY :)

sry. recharge was with rigs. recharge without rigs is at 93 per second. but its ok!

7:15am 2007 Sunday 27th May 2007 It`s not so hard guys. I`ve done it couple of times in T1 fitted Raven...Never had to warp out, but path of wrecks always is 250km+ long...lo2zak

Yep, easy in a Raven...needs warp outs in a drake.

And I do prefer the one-step model with continuos spawns....makes things more intense.

6:56am 2007 Sunday 27th May 2007 It`s not so hard guys. I`ve done it couple of times in T1 fitted Raven. Character SP `bout 3mln.

Low: 3 BCU 2 x PDS
Mid: XL C5-L, 2 active hardeners, Conjunctive Gravimetric ECCM Scanning Array I ,F-90 Positional Sensor Subroutines , Heavy electrochemical (4 x 800 cap in launcher)
High : 6x xt-9000 cruise , e500 NOS, Tractor beam
cargo : 16 x 800 Cap boosters, missiles in the rest
Solution is simple: align, keep rats in distance, shoot

Never had to warp out, but path of wrecks always is 250km+ long...

8:37pm 2007 Tuesday 24th April 2007 In several waves, often two groups at once.

Pithias Revolter x 4
Pithi Plunderer x 3
Pithi Despoiler x 4
Pithatis Enforcer x 14
Pithatis Executor x 10
Pithum Abolisher x 2
Pithatis Death Dealer
Pithior Anarchist x 3
Dire Pithum Inferno x 2
Pithatis Assassin x 1
Pithior Nihilist x 5
Pithi Demolisher x 2
Dire Pithum Inferno x 4
Pithior Guerilla x 1
Caldari Stasis Tower

I could not get to all the wrecks before they disappeared, but got about 3.1m in salvage and 1.6m in recyclables and 1.2m in mission reward.

Also, the favour gain for the agent was 8.8%.

It took about 2 hours to complete, had a single step (many waves), so is hard to get to all wrecks.

Suggested approach is warp in, kill tower and as much as possible, bookmark something, warp in at range...rinse and repeat.

Or bring lots of friends. Or a battleship (I used a drake).

3:48pm 2007 Friday 20th April 2007 i just did this mission and the mobs that spawned were diffrent then whats listed in the database and the above post.

12:44pm 2007 Monday 2nd April 2007 I'm currently doing this mission with little effort in a passive tanked drake.
I only have a few mil SP, and about 50k in missiles. So it goes to show that anyone can do this with a nickel and dime Drake setup.

Setup is as follows:

7x 'Malkuth' Heavy Launcher [ 32x Scourge Heavy Missile ]

2x Large F-s9 Regolith Shield Induction
2x Kinetic Deflection Amplifier I
1x Heat Dissipation Amplifier I
1x Shield Recharger I

4x Shield Power Relay I

Follow Jorupp's information, and kill the weaker targets first. That is, the battle-cruisers usually. And take care not to pop the spawn placeholder until you're absolutely ready.

1:05am 2007 Monday 26th March 2007 It took 30-45 minutes in my megathron. earned 6 million in bounties. There is probably somewhere near 50 wrecks lying around.

1:19am 2007 Thursday 15th March 2007 it took me about an hour in a drake. worst thing you can do in this mission is letting the next wave spawn too early
i like passive tanking the drake so this is my setup(no bothering with cap or boosters this way)

7 malkuth heavy's
3 best named shield extenders 2 kinetic hardeners 1 thermal hardener
2 shield power relays and 2 local diagnostic systems

plenty of room left for either a salvager or a tractor beam only downside i have is my missiles can fly further then i can target

5:06pm 2007 Sunday 14th January 2007 Stick by jorupps perfect guide... Kill the loners last. It helps killing the normal BC's, cruisers and frigs first, the HACs later... as they're harder to kill (high resists).

6:17pm 2007 Saturday 6th January 2007 This mission is doable solo. I just finished it in a drake.

Large T2 booster, shield amp, med cap injector, two active kinetic hardeners, and an active thermal hardener in the mids
7x heavy missile launchers in the highs.
I had a NOS fitted, but no rats ever got that close. I also had 5x light kinetic drones. Lows are PDS's and BCS's

But, you can't just park and kill in this one. This mission requires some tactics.

As soon as you warp-in start traveling away from the rats. I put my drones on the frigs and started killing BC's as fast as I could. If you start getting into trouble, look for a wreck or landmark that you can 'warp-to-0'. Candidates are wrecks and the structures in this area. This will give you a little break from the damage, and keep the range open. I did it earlier this week in a passive tanked ferox, and I was warping all over the mission area. With the drake, I never had to. (DPS is king in this one...)

The drake also finished the mission much faster than the ferox.

6:44am 2006 Friday 29th December 2006 This was a bit of a challenge, but since I already knew the secrets: keep range and wait until the end to kill the loner, it just took a while in my Drake, there was no danger.

Here's the spawns:

1.
3 Pithatis Executor (BC)
4 Dire Pithium Mortifier (C)
1 Pithior Renegade (D) (triggers next wave)

2.
3 Pithior Renegade (D)
3 Pithior Nihilist (D)
2 Pirithatis Executor (BC)
3 Pirithatis Enforcer (BC)
1 Pirithatis Assasin (BC) (triggers next wave)
1 Pithi Wrecker

3.
3 Pithior Renegade (D)
4 Pithatis Executor (BC)
3 Pithatis Enforcer (BC)
1 Pithatis Death Dealer (BC) (triggers next wave)
3 Dire Pithium Eraser

4.
4 Dire Pithi Plunderer (F)
1 Pithatis Assaulter (BC) (triggers next wave)
5 Pithatis Executor (BC)
3 Pithum Inferno (C)

5.
4 Dire Pithi Despoiler
4 Pithaatis Death Dealer (BC)

There are five waves. I was shooting kin and tanking kin/therm.

4:26pm 2006 Saturday 16th December 2006 With this mission the reinforcements arrive when you destroy one of a particular class of ships. Typically this is the class with the highest bounty.
Therefore the best tactic is to keep your range and leave the highest bounty ships until last.Murton

D'oh - wish I'd seen this last week! I went for the big boys 1st and got into serious trouble in my Raven. I had to warp out twice! I have 8Mil sp with 2mil in missiles and 1.5mil in shield related. This is one tough mission!

P.S. Not much salvage - but that was before salvage was increased a few days ago

5:18am 2006 Friday 15th December 2006 i agree, i have 10 million skill points and i went in in a fully t2 equipped drake, and 82% kinetic resistance and had trouble with this mission, do not attempt to solo this one with out a very good setup

3:15am 2006 Tuesday 5th December 2006 Found it to be rather easy. Done in a Dominix with medium range setup (30-45km) and Drones (40km), i'm pretty sure i could do it in my Brutix without any problems, too. Just don't let them come near you, especially not the HAC's, they have proven to be extremely resistant. I heard that if you let one ship of each spawn alive the other waves won't spawn, perhaps it's worth a try if you have problems.

No special loot, but about 11mil isk (bounty+agent). Should also be a heaven for salvagers.

1:42am 2006 Sunday 3rd December 2006 This mission is murder now... managed this with a Ferox, took about 2 hours and I agree with the previous poster. Not one for the faint hearted. Can be done solo, but I'd advise bringing a friend. Loot was trash too.

5:13am 2006 Thursday 30th November 2006 As of Revelations chapter 1... this mission involves several waves of SWARMS of guristas destroyers, HACs and BCs.

The reinforcement waves spawn like 100km away from the warp in point, and hit with heavy missiles from about 90km out. The destroyers and BCs go down easy, but my cruise missiles (was doing in a raven I typically use for lvl 4s) had quite a difficult time killing the HACs.

With nearly 2m in engineering and another 2m in missiles (t2 hardeners, pdus, bcus, arby cruise launchers, etc) it was easy, but it was a lot more than I expected from a level 3.

1:55pm 2006 Monday 14th August 2006 Be aware also that there is a small chance of the last spawn containing a Dread Gurista.

I had one today and it dropped a low grade crystal epsilon implant. In empire.
