In a well attended ceremony in X6AB-Y, Lonewolfnight honored Lord Aralis by opening with a speech:
"With great respect, pilots who have been touched by your wisdom and dedication are here today to pay respect to you. A great deal of people have come together to say thank you for your time and your dedication. Today's event marks the beginning of a one week celebration of that date, and such, We have assembled a special gift for you. Before you is a complete Navy fit, Navy Issue Apocalypse to mark your dedication to the Amarrian Empire, CVA and the dream of Providence."
In a very orderly manner, several more speakers added their own best wishes and remembrances about the past five years.
Lord Aralis, in a heartfelt voice, addressed his friends and colleagues:
"I'm very proud to be a part of this and thank you all. It is nice to be appreciated - not that I ever don't feel appreciated! It's a great organisation we are part of and thank you for reminding me yet again. I hope that honour and loyalty will always be cornerstones of this alliance... Wisdom we'll just have to hope for!
I've always thought one of the key jobs was keeping the good people in here in CVA and I think I and we have succeeded. I hope you're all as proud of us as I am. CVA is an amazing organisation and I'm very proud to be part of it. I can't quite figure how I ever came to be at the head of it.
I'd like to point out that while I have been leading ID a long time I'm only one of four leaders that CVA has had. It's been a fair while but many have done a great job in getting us where we are now. Particular thanks on that front to Hardin who did the job brilliantly for ages before me.
Thank you. Thank you all... May god give us a new Emperor!"
Shortly after his speech, every pilot in the system introduced themselves and saluted Aralis. When the last pilot completed his salute, Lonewolfnight officially concluded the ceremony and most of the pilots retired to the station for some drinks and revelry.
During a lull in the festivities, Lord Aralis was heard to remark: "Yes it was a total surprise! And even when I did see it coming at the last minute I was amazed how many turned up! I was proud of them just for that that they could involve so many people without me knowing! Obviously I was hugely honoured and touched, and proud of our great alliance and the people who make it. I strongly suspect the ship will sit as a prize to warm my heart forever.
The vision going forward is the same as it has always been. To bring Providence into the empire and make it a centre of civilization and a showpiece of Amarrian glory. An example to a bewildered galaxy lost in godless violence and insanity."

Amarrians display shock; relief over recent failed assassination attempt
2008-04-05T14:04+00:00
On the heels of the shocking announcement that the missing Theology Council justices were executed by Imperial Paladins following a failed assassination attempt on Court Chamberlain Dochuta Karsoth, Holders and officials around the Empire are expressing varying degrees of shock and relief.
"This could have been a disaster," said Holder Athakus Penn. "Should the Court Chamberlain have fallen, the Empire truly would be rudderless. It is a sign of God's divine will that he was spared."
"I knew of Lord Falek Grange," said Holder Lyrvan Kourmos. "I never believed he was capable of something like this. It is hard to believe, but the proof is evident. That these Reformists have managed to turn someone so devoted to the Empire as Kourmos shows they are a deadly influence on the Empire. We should see to it that all of them are purged."
While everyone spoken to has condemned the actions of the justices, a few have stopped short of attacking their ideals. "It is a sad commentary on the state of affairs that this could even happen," commented Holder Iraj Darabi. "Wanting to change the rules of the Succession Trials is one thing. But I have no sympathy for men who would resort to common assassination to achieve their goals. As if murdering the Chamberlain would even achieve them. They rank as lowly as common Minmatar terrorists." Since initially making these statements, Holder Darabi has been unavailable for further comment.
A few even spoke with cautious support about the Reformist ideals. "The actions of a few heretics should not tear down the work of thousands of others," said an anonymous source claiming to be a member of the Imperial Navy. "I am not a Reformist, but neither am I wholly opposed to what they proposed. The Moral Reforms show that things can change. Would it be such a bad thing to reform further?"
Commoners, such as Layna Gig, an Udorian trader in the Tash-Murkon region, expressed relief at the news the Court Chamberlain was unharmed. "It's a good thing they found out about this before it could be carried out. The Court Chamberlain is a good man. I've got a cousin who met him once. It would have been a profound loss to the Empire."
Across the Empire, churches are setting up days of prayer and vigil for the Court Chamberlain's safety. Deacon Vitali, an organizer of one such vigil in the system of Hedion, explained, "Following a shocking event like this, the people are confused and upset. How could such things happen? Well, it is the job of the clergy to provide them with guidance, and explain that God was merely exposing those who had fallen from the true path. He saved Chamberlain Karsoth and showed that He approved of the current way. We must now express our proper thanks for His intervention through prayer."
Imperial Navy Admiral Atricus Kador - a distant relation to the main branch of the Kador Family - made assurances that the Navy would remain on high alert following the attack. "Navy patrols will remain at the level they currently are until such a time as it is judged there is no further direct threat to the Court Chamberlain," he said in response to questions about the continued presence of patrols in the Sakht system. When asked when he thinks that might be, he replied with a "No comment."

Imperial reactions on Prayer for the Future mixed
2008-04-04T21:29+00:00
Reactions in the Amarr Empire were mixed following the PIE Inc. sponsored Memorial for Doriam held in Amarr on March 30th. The memorial, ostensibly in memorial of the 1000th day since the death of Emperor Doriam II, has drawn commentary from a variety of sources in the Empire.
"It's shameful," said Holder Touraj Miyan. "These pod pilots know no respect for their betters. Not only did they invoke our late Emperor's name in an attempt to drum up outrage at the lack of an Emperor, they did so in the middle of Amarr itself! Don't they know it is not their place to comment on such matters? The Empire is currently running smoothly - unfortunately without an Emperor - and we can't rush things! Lord Kor-Azor and his staff have kept our region stable and safe. God will ensure the selection of an Emperor in good time, for in God we trust."
Miyan's reaction seems typical among the Holder community. "While it is admirable that our pod pilot loyalists show such passionate interest in the affairs of the Empire, they should realize that things do not work in the airs of nobility and royalty the way they do in capsuleer affairs," commented Holder Iraj Darabi. "They are used to things happening in weeks and even days. Their 'super powers' of last year are gasping their last breaths this year. Meanwhile, the Empire endures and always will. We shall have an Emperor when the time is deemed right. And in a thousand years - a truly Imperial time scale - scholars will barely remember that there was a gap."
Not all reaction was negative, however. "I applaud them," said retired Naval Commodore Telim Harkan. "God mandated that an Emperor would lead and the Empire strength suffers for it. Five houses are no match for one Empire. Now, we are not there yet, as the Court Chamberlain is dutifully holding us all together. But he is not God's chosen vassal in this world, only the Emperor can be that. The day an Emperor returns to the throne will be a great day."
Other Naval officers were not so quick to agree. "These pod pilots could better spend their time attacking the enemies of the Empire," read a statement from Admiral Vanazir Saracens. "We all ache for the loss of Emperor Doriam II, but most of us have the sense to leave it in the appropriate hands and focus on matters of this world."
Reaction among commoners has similarly been mixed. "It certainly was an interesting show," said Tandiras Al-Sandar, a Ni-Kunni trader who works in the Tash-Murkon region. "But I don't know what they hoped to accomplish. I want an Emperor as much as any man, but I trust the Chamberlain to keep things steady until we get one. Besides, what would happen to the prosperity of the Tash-Murkon region if Lady Tash-Murkon were to lose the Trials? I'd hate to see her die before her work is done."
Faith in the job being done by Court Chamberlain Dochuta Karsoth, the acting head of state for the Empire, was a theme in many of the comments. "Under Chamberlain Karsoth, the Bleak Lands are safer than ever," said Santivar Khazhad, a prospector working in the Bleak Lands. "Sure, there are those Defiant types, but the Navy has kept them occupied for the most part. Though the Scriptures mandate an Emperor, they certainly don't say anything about specific time frames for such an event."
No official reactions from the Heirs, the leaders of the Theology Council, or the Court Chamberlain have been made. Some sources do not expect them to, while others hold out hope they will.

Amarr Anger at Code Aria Revelations
2008-04-01T10:06+00:00
Amarr - CONCORD Assembly delegate Lord Qumar issued the following public statement today on behalf of the Amarr Empire to voice their position regarding the leaked Code Aria report and the information released by CONCORD's Inner Circle at the last Assembly session yesterday.
"Let it be known that the blatant breaches of security and protocol on the part of CONCORD that have recently come to light are considered by our government to be an extreme violation of the organisation's charter with all four empires, which shakes the very foundations of trust between our peoples. By withholding crucial data concerning the unauthorised gate activations the Amarr Empire has been gravely insulted, and the safety of millions of our loyal citizens has been placed in jeopardy."
Lord Qumar went on to highlight the connection between the Code Aria Inquiry and the disasters that befell the Gallente Federation's past Artificial Intelligence programs over two decades ago.
"We have not forgotten that the Gallente Federation was responsible for building the jump gates referenced in the Code Aria report. Not to mention the apparent and evidently dangerous escalation of technological advances in the Artificial Intelligence field, a few of which are documented to have potentially gone awry in the past when left irresponsibly unchecked. The Gallente Federation's continued carelessness has been instrumental in the current state of affairs, where good citizens of all four empires must be constantly vigilant against the threat of the Rogue Drone menace. Had the Gallente Federation been more forthcoming regarding their reasons for handing responsibility of the gates to CONCORD in the first place, then things today may have been very different."
Lord Qumar closed his address and declined to take any questions on the matter. Commentators have noted that the tone of the statement bodes ill not just for CONCORD, but for Amarr-Gallente relations too, and it will be interesting to see how the Federation chooses to respond.

Conflicting reports come in regarding Theology Council disappearances
2008-03-27T21:10+00:00
Avair - Following the sudden disappearance of several members of the Theology Council yesterday, numerous reports - many of them conflicting - are flooding the Theology Council claiming to give information on their whereabouts and details surrounding the circumstances of their disappearances.
"The accounts are confusing and conflicting," said Lord Gallius Eliade, a family member of one of the missing. "It is difficult to sort through what might be reality and what is just someone trying to mislead us."
Many of the reports have focused on the Sakht border system, which was mentioned in the original report as having a sudden increase in military activity. "On Monday, I saw three Blood Raider ships decloak right before heading through a gate into Sakht!" said Elardo Atta, a Ni-Kunni trader. "I've never seen them do anything like that before. I bet they had something to do with this!"
"It couldn't have been Blood Raiders," said Nazir Lat, an Udorian official who oversees a station in the area. "They almost never go through the normal stargates. But we did see an unusually high number of pod pilots travelling through the system recently. Maybe there's something one of the deep space alliances knows that we don't."
Others have focused on the justices rather than the locations mentioned in the original report. "I swear, I saw Falek Grange on a beach on Intaki Prime!" claimed a Brosius Jete, a Gallente official who had been vacationing on the planet. "I bet they just dipped out for a break. I mean, I know I would if I had to listen to a bunch of religious dribble for days on end."
More credible reports have placed sightings of the justices anywhere from Sahtogas, to Ami, even to stations in the Providence region.
Despite the wide number of reports revealing information on where the justices supposedly are now, very few have stepped forward with information about the men's actions before they vanished. Station security in Avair reported them departing a Theology Council meeting, but from there, little is known.
"I saw Lord Gord heading back to his quarters after the meeting," said Halla Sen, a station resident. "He looked somewhat agitated. But he looks like that a lot, so I didn't think much of it."
Other reports from prior to their disappearance are similarly vague and non-committal. Whether this is because there is little actual information or if officials are asking witnesses to keep their information quiet until the investigation has concluded is not yet known.
The families of the missing justices continue to offer a 5 million ISK reward for information leading to their direct recovery. The report from the Court Chamberlain on the matter is being eagerly anticipated by all involved.
