Hi, I am still on my trial account, though I plan on switching to a paid subscription afterwards. And am looking for some general direction for ingame...things to work toward in the short term so I can figure out my long term goals.
I am Caldari, specced engineer. I have about 935,000 Sp and my BF gets mad at me because I keep buying skill books instead of ships. I have completed all the tutorial missions, and never even got stuck on the Villard's Wheel (lol). I was able to get 0 rated agents right from the tutorial.
My ship is the Bantam supplied to me in game, fitted with a tracking disruptor, shield booster, 2 (20%) expanded cargoholds, a 75mm railgun and a sm ion blaster. Not great I'm sure, but it has gotten me through the missions.
I have most of my skill points in engineering of course (with focus in shields and energy skills), but am getting gunnery, missiles, and industry up.
Now my questions,
I don't seem to be getting any manufactoring missions like I did through the tutorials, am I supposed to be getting those? If yes, am I just not finding the right ones?? I did people and places search to find current agents, so know the basics of that.
I'm trying to figure out what to fit my ship with, not planning on upgrading for a bit...want to have some isk in the bank but also want to know what i want before upgrading. However, is there a direction on the ships that I should be looking in? Besides from looking at ship bonuses, what should I start investigating for fittings?
I obviously want to die the least amount of times as possible, besides from never going anywhere, what should I start looking into?
I have read almost every guide that I can find, but if you know of any that might help please let me know. I am finding the shear amount of items/skills/options to be slightly overwhelming at this point because I don't know how to narrow it down.
Basically, looking for some constructive information to help guide me in finding the information I want to make the game fun as well as rewarding in the future. I really don't want to find out a year or more down the road that some stupid noob thing I did made it so I could never do whatever it is that I want to do.
