I think its just luck. Doing that sort of procedure like the destruction of the facility are kind of like closing your eyes before opening a package of baseball cards, either there are going to be rare items in there or they arent, you arent changing the outcome by doing things that are pre-determined (like the loot table

just went through this in an Abaddon and a raven and got a dread guristas heavy launcher. mucho pleased.

I didn't know what was causing the additional waves in the second room, but I was able to handle it.

Then I got to the third room and accidentally caused three additional waves to spawn at once.

The mission is now impossible because the giant pile of battleships in there can break my tank before I can kill ANYTHING.

Thanks CCP for the complete lack of warning regarding changes to this mission and causing me to lose standing for not being able to complete it.

Also, it might be a good idea to update the mission info here.

It's extremely outdated. It makes no mention of the fact that you actually get BC spawns, not just cruisers and the how the additional waves work.

This really is a cake mission. The only thing ANYONE needs to remember from all of these posts is SAVE THE FRIGS FOR LAST. One spawn after another. Anyone can handle six or seven agro at a time. Doesn't matter wich room, they all act the same.

This mission, for some reason, is my all time favorite mission Smile

It is probably the easiest mission to fit your ship for : 7 HML II, 3 LSE II, 3 Purgers, 2 SPR II, 2 BCS II, 1 Kinetic Hardener II, and 2 passive Kinetic Resistance AmplifierII's.

With this, you have 90%+ resistance, and can passively permatank the whole room's aggro. (passive + 1 hardener Wink )

It guarantees 30M+ isk in bounties, and more than the same in loot, and/or Minerals/Salvage. It's a very straightforward mission.

Only problem is that I have probably done this mission 20 times now, but never gotten any faction loot, ever. I have destroyed the war installation (before entering bonus stage) the first 10 times, or so, and not the last 10 or so... no difference, no faction loot, no lottery ticket for me.

But I would agree with an above poster, it is probably not worth it, ISK-wise, to do this mission, since you can get others that are faster, BUT...

At least, this mission keeps you occupied, safely, and steadily, for a few hours, without having to warp out, change fitting, or anything...

I bring my alt in a destroyer/salvager (he's got leadership skills!) and he will tractor, loot, salvage, and haul the stuff to the station. (my destroyer has 829m2 cargo space, and I haul MANY loads)
