Anyone know what is up with the eve-online official site?

No Idea, but starting to wonder about that too - it's especially nagging, that evemon doesn't work either due to their Website-Problems

If you take a look at the main page for eveinfo, you'll notice the news updates.

Apparently, they're in the process of doing a plethora of stress tests at the moment. Fortunately for us, they know there's issues abound (or so it seems), so on November 1st, they'll be having a 24 hour *coughyeahcoughrightcough* extended downtime to install upgrades to their servers.

Which means, for those of us unlucky enough to live in Iceland and/or be employed by CCP, plow through your multitude of hangers, ravage your station containers/vaults/etc, random shuttles, and more... and dust off your Extended Downtime Skill Training Rank 5, which I'm sure you've all trained to Level 4 or 5, and get ready.

Though it's a pain .. extended down time dosn't bother me a whole lot. I like that CCP does what it takes to test thier extensions before they go public.

I used to play SWG and and belive me, what happens on EVE now is way better than what happened in SWG, where they published absolute crap thats took months to fix once it was up.
