Got this mission from a Caldari level 2 Rapid Assembly Manufacturing Agent.

Mission briefing
We've had increasing reports of hostile activity within our borders in the past months, and I've been ordered to take
a look into the matter. One of these reports came from a group of miners scouring the Veldspar belts in the outer
regions of Isanamo. They claimed to have seen a large ore convoy heading away from one of the belts, consisting of ships
which appeared to be of Gallentean origin. Their escort attacked them immediately, but they escaped unharmed. My best guess
would be that these hostiles are in fact pirates, but what intrigued me is that their ships did not appear to match the
description of any pirate organization known to infest Isanamo.
I want you to take a look into this, Sam Shepard. Fly to the asteroid belt where the miners were attacked. Wait there for a
while, and see if any hostiles show up. If they do, destroy them but try to take back someone from their ranks alive for
questioning.

Something came up while you were off on your reconnaissance mission. A group of slave traders traveling through
Isanamo stumbled upon a strange anomaly that caught their attention. It's a cloud of gas that somehow acts as a
shield against long-range scanners, which is probably why our surveillance forces haven't detected it yet. These slave traders
couldn't scan what was inside and weren't going to take any chances by approaching the anomaly, so they left and informed
the authorities.
I would like you to investigate this strange cloud, and see what's inside. I'll upload a bookmark into your journal that should
send you close enough to the anomaly for your scanner to detect what's inside. If you encounter any hostiles, destroy them.
Then report back to me with your findings.

Mission briefing
Since you found the acceleration gate in your last mission, I believe you're the most suited to take a look at what's
at the other side. I've received reports of Gallente convoys traveling to and from the area you discovered, but never
realized there was a connection until your discovery. So this might be a hidden base of some sort, who knows. But it's for
you to find out.
When you arrive at the warp-in point after using the acceleration gate hidden inside the anomaly, I want you to neutralize any
hostiles you find. I'm especially keen on finding out what these convoys have been transporting, so if you see one then
destroy it. I'll send someone else to pick up the pieces after you're done, so don't leave any survivors.
This mission expires at 2006.10.16 07:05:04

I had the same mission. The only change was, that i needed 1665 units of scordite....
The level 2 version of this mission is the scordite one, and the reward is a level 2 implant.

*note: The mission briefing is a bit unclear as to the acceleration gate. The briefing leads one to believe that this will be a two-step mission, when in fact warping to the mission drops you off at the second deadspace area, and you never even see the acceleration gate from the second part of the illegal activity series. So this really is just a 1 step mission.
Also - enemy group N4 does not arrive until about 5 minutes after warping to the mission area. That spawn shows up right in the middle of the area, between the sentry guns and the other two groups. The roden shipyards courier ships are transport ships, I believe Iteron class. See below for a screenshot of the ship.
Because of your successful reconnaissance mission, we've managed to narrow down the location of the main Sanshas activity
a bit. The data that we extracted from your system scanner also revealed to us a few Sanshas ships that were not
mentioned in your preliminary report. It appears to be some sort of convoy, at least one of their ships was clearly an
industrial. Because of this we guess that it may be a routine shipment, meaning that they might get a convoy at regular
intervals. We'd like you to fly out there, preferably with a cloaking device, and lay in wait for any possible sign of another
Sansha convoy. If you do see one, destroy it and bring back the contents of the industrials to me for inspection.

After reviewing the intel we received from the spy drones which you transferred for us in your last mission, we managed to
pinpoint the location of a military outpost they are building in Erstur. It appears to be a part of a defensive perimeter that they
are setting up around their territory, which has elevated our fears that they have actually managed to erect a large colony
inside our solarsystem.
But for now let's keep our sights on the current task, to breach a hole in their defensive wall. We believe that the outpost in
question hasn't been fully built, and therefore will be a fairly easy target for you if it's defensive installations aren't complete.
Contact with the spy drones was cut off before we could fully analyze the Sansha forces in the area. But one thing's for
sure, there will most certainly be guards nearby, and they will have to be dealt with. You will receive a bookmark to the
location of the outpost, and your instructions are simple, destroy the habitat of their construction workers. That should slow
them down a bit. Good luck.

I have something suited for someone of your caliber. There is a hidden stargate in Inoue which is frequented by pilots employed by allies of the Caldari State. It so happens that a gang of vagabonds, belonging to the Guristas Pirates, have 'set up camp' near the stargate in the hopes of catching easy prey traveling via the gate. In other words they will attack any passersby that do not adhere to their terrorist organization.
We've considered sending in the military, but I'm afraid they might make a quick get-away should they discover who's after them. We have a bit of a problem on our hands with a recently fired employee of ours. He was working as a deep cover agent for us, and now he is threatening to release all the information to DED about what we have been doing. We cannot have this happen. If he does make it to the DED headquarters in Yulai, Caldari Navy will face serious repercussions. Eliminate this threat as soon as possible to ensure that he doesn't get the information to DED agents. I'll put into your way-points where he was last seen. Return here and let me know that he is dead.

*note: I don't know for sure the stats on Joshawu, but I believe his resistances are set similarly to the mercenaries from step 2. I hit him with all 4 flavors of light missiles, with shield damage as follows: sabretooth - 86.3, flameburst - 69.0, bloodclaw - 59.5, piranha - 34.5. His armor damage as follows: sabretooth - 36.7, bloodclaw - 74.4. I didn't have a chance to try out the other missiles on his armor as he closed range and started to lay into my shields. He was using only projectile turrets to fire at me. I caught a screenshot of him, see below.
