This mission is, for all intents and purposes, the same as The Right Hand of Zazzmatazz. Exact same rats. The only thing you need to know is that there are 3 waves of reinforcements.

Reinforcements:
Reinforcement #1: When you attack the named rat's cruiser, a single wave of reinforcements appear. Mercenary Overlords are the primary threat. Just remember that they're made of paper and you'll take them down quickly.

Reinforcement #2: When the Pleasure Garden is damaged to a certain point, it will call for reinforcements. You get more Mercenary Overlords.

Reinforcement #3: When the Pleasure Garden is down to 50% structure, a group of pirates, including Zor, emerge. Zor should be your primary target.

Note: When the Pleasure Garden itself explodes, it does a decent amount of damage to anyone nearby. To a Raven Navy Issue, the damage is minimal, but to other ships you're going to notice you got hit.

Other notes: This mission is very short-ranged, so much so that a Raven can get away with using torpedos instead of cruise missiles.

TACTICS:
I wanted to loot all the NPCs for the Insignias, so I didn't like the idea of just nuking the gate, I wanted to kill everything, and I wanted to do it without warping out. Here's how it's done (pretty standard complex technique) Most of the time you will be using Thermal cruise missiles (I used Caldari Navy Cataclysm). For Darkana's you will use Explosive.

1) Warp in and immediately align yourself to the closest celestial body behind you. For me it was a planet, but it wasn't directly behind, in fact it was at a 90 degree angle to the spawn. (Which isn't so bad if you have a similar one as it increases your transversal velocity thus reducing the damage you take.) Ideally 180 degrees behind because you establish distance between you and the new spawns (a KEY point I will explain shortly)

2) First thing is to remove the Stabbers and Ruptures as both can in theory outrun a Raven. If you want to let them catch up to you and use drones you can, but I dont like drones personally as my skillz don't allow the use of Hammerhead IIs yet. So nuke down all the small things then kill the Tempests/Typhoons.

3) By this time the second and possibly the third spawn will have arrived depending on your dps. When you kill the Darkanas switch to explosive (I found it a lot less wasteful of my faction ammo).

4) By the time you've cleared up, you've probably noticed something. If you've travelled beyond 250km from the new spawns - THEY DO NOT TARGET OR APPROACH YOU!!! This is important as you will not be able to tank the 3 Darkanas firing EM Torps in the last wave.

5) Proceed by nuking everything down at 90km targetting range. THE ONLY THING YOU HAVE TO BE REALLY CAREFUL ABOUT ARE LIBERTY FREEDOM ships firing CATACLYSM MISSILES in the 4th wave. With my setup I have no thermal hardner because these are the only 3 that do thermal damage in significant quantities. (Research this is the NPC list if you wish.)

At the moment I have Interceptors and Assault Ships trained up pretty well. In a week or two, I'll have Covert Ops and EW Frigates trained to the same level. If I can get my missile skills up, Stealth Bomber might be in my future.

Training for the elite frigates has been very useful. It's forced me to learn basic skills like Navigation V, Engineering V, Electronics V, etc, all of which are useful no matter what I'm flying. But as for the T2 Frigates themselves, how useful are they, really? As a solo PvE player (major carebear), they seem pretty niche-oriented. Any advice on how to maximize the potential of these little ships?

I agree completely with nlorence. For running missions when you first start out, nothing beats a destroyer. It's designed for killing frigates. With so many hi slots, don't feel like you have to buy the most expensive weapons - you can go for quantity over quality. Just be careful if you go up against a cruiser. The increased signature radius of the destroyer means you're going to take more damage from medium and large weapons than a frigate would.

nlorence is right about salvaging too. It doesn't take too much time to train for it, there's the potential to make some pretty good money. It just takes a little patience.

Invention ??

Well, be ready for a lot of frustration & then joy. Invention is all about risk vs reward.
You can get all the best T2 gear you want, but you need loads of science skills, T1 BPO copies, relevant datacores (from research agents) some datasheets sometimes - oh and a shed full of luck.
Once you have a T2 BPC (you cannot invent a BPO ) which is usually 10 run for mos & 5 run for ships you then have to build it using T2 construction components.
So, what you need:
- Science skills
- T1 BPO to make copies from, or just buy them
- Laboratory copy slots (POS)
- Datacores from research agents
- Laboratory invention slots (POS)
- T2 construction components

And this is only scratching the surface, I could talk about moon mining & reactions, NPC trade goods, the different faction R&D agents, cosmos complexes.
It took us nearly 5 months to get it all figured out but now we can build anything & all it costs us is time, ice mining & mineral mining plus the NPC trade goods.

In summing up:
Quote: it seems like to much hassle to me so I'm giving it a miss for now.
I wish you'ld told me that 6 months ago
