Questions about security status

hi all,

i just started EVE about 3 days back and enjoying the very bit of it.

I need some help, currently i am running Lvl 1 agent missions, and i was wondering how can upgrade to level 2 ?

Cuz when i click on the level agent info it says that i need 2 have a better corp or personal status, something like that.

was wondering how can i increase it ? as at the moment my security status is 0.01.

Please help me ...

I know this is an old question, but I have the easy answer.

Security status and Standings are two different things

Security status is your reflection of basically being a Pirate, or a Good citizen. It is your view vs. CONCORD. Killing Pirates, and collecting Bounties will increase this. Killing other 'high sec' players and attacking CONCORD (while will most likely cause instant death for you) will decrease this number.

Standings (personal and Corporate) are Your view vs. the NPC and Player Corps. So to answer the original question, you need to keep running level 1 missions, until your Standings increase and open up level 2 missions.

I wont bore ya with technical details here.

Need to just spam the missions until you get the standings. Going from Lvl 1 to Lvl 2 is the longest in my experience. the others did not take as long. I used to accept 5-6 missions at a time and run them through.
Ask to tag along with corp members on lvl 4 missions. You can be useful to them by just being there.

Training some social skills can help, but not all that much at the beginner level.
