Mission Type: Caldari Lvl 3
Mission Name: Lights Out
Mission briefing:

I have a friend in a very difficult situation. He's due for a promotion, you see. More accurately, he would be if there weren't a few other promising individuals ahead of him in line. Such promising individuals, indeed, that I am sure their superiors would miss them dearly if anything were to happen to them.

However, you see, they are all Gallente officers, and for any agent of the State to interfere in Federation matters would be quite wrong, now, wouldn't it? Of course, it's not terribly uncommon for valiant officers, Gallente or otherwise, to meet quite unfortunate ends in any number of... well, mishaps. Yes, ***, it's not uncommon at all, is it? So I'm sure things will work themselves out somehow.

Anyhow, your mission. Well, this is quite embarrassing... I've completely forgotten any mission I might have had for you. Come to think of it, I've forgotten everything I was just talking about. Goodness, I think I'd better go lie down for a while.

But... I don't suppose you could look after my datapad here while I rest? It's quite important, you see, for it has the current coordinates of one of those promising Federation individuals, one of the ones we just discussed. And I wouldn't want that to fall into the wrong hands, now, would I?

And you... you look like you could use a break, too. Maybe a leisurely cruise out into space somewhere nearby, a chance to relax and, oh, I don't know, enjoy some scenery? Maybe pay someone a visit? And by the time I wake up, maybe my worries will have taken care of themselves, hmm?

Your agent's datapad has given you the coordinates to one of the competitors of your agent's "friend" in the Gallente Navy. Your "mission" once you arrive there should be abundantly clear.

Mission Objective:
Kill the Gallente lieutenant and his guards

Additional Notes:
Long-Distance Space Travel
When travelling long distances, it always pays to check your Autopilot settings. A pilot often has a choice between a shorter trip through dangerous low-sec space and a longer trip that will keep him or her under the watchful, protective gaze of CONCORD. Autopilot settings can be found in your star map, via your NeoCom.

Mission Type: Caldari Level 3
Mission Name: Cut-Throat Competition
Mission Briefing:

Even in times of conflict with an external enemy we still find ourselves in competition with other “friendly” corporations. One such corporation is providing security for a repair outpost. They got that security contract by underbidding us. Go to the site, destroy their entire security force, then destroy the repair outpost. With such an abysmal failure on their record, they’ll never get another security contract in this sector again.

And who knows, maybe we’ll get the reconstruction contract for the replacement outpost as well.

I'd provide the ship stats, but my ship scanner won't give them to me!

Just completed this mission, here's the text:
---
This is an important mission, which will have significant impact on your faction standings.
Pirate Radio Objectives Complete
The following objectives must be completed to finish the mission:

Objective
Destroy the FTL Transmitter and any hostile vessels in the area. Objective completed.

Rewards
The following rewards will be yours if you complete this mission:
(just over 600,000)

Bonus Rewards
The following rewards will be awarded to you as a bonus if you complete the mission within 2 hours and 19 minutes.
(just over 600,000)

The Brothers of Freedom
Formerly an extremist labor movement in the State, the Brothers of Freedom led a widespread revolt against corporate security forces on a number of Caldari planets a number of years ago -- some time before Tibus Heth's vastly more successful revolt of a similar nature -- after 65,000 protesters were killed by Caldari paramilitary forces while trying to force their way onto a CEP station in the New Caldari system. After months of dogged pursuit by Caldari authorities, the riots were put down and most of the leaders were killed or arrested.

Some of the leadership, including the ringleader Melarius Torvil, did manage to escape the final Caldari Navy operation that crushed the Brothers' movement. Torvil and a small group of associates fled to the Minmatar Republic and applied for asylum from Caldari persecution, which was granted by President Midular's Gallente-friendly government.

Today, though they have been largely eliminated as a major force in the State, the Brothers of Freedom continue to spread anti-corporate propaganda and speak out against the CEP's government in the Gallente Federation and the Minmatar Nation, as well as outlying State settlements and facilities.
---
You're up against Minmatar forces, as well as these "Brothers Of Freedom", that means you have to tank every kind of damage there is because it's all coming at you. Also, it's Battlecruiser or smaller to get through the door. So not an easy mission.

Suggested plan of attack:
1) Ignore the Tribal vessels, they're not important to finishing the mission and will only drop your Minmatar standing.
2) Take out the Minmatar Missile Battery ASAP! It throws some serious missile power that can break your tank if you let it. Once this missile battery is gone, tanking becomes easy.
3) Take out all the Freedom ships, they cannot survive if you want to beat this mission.
4) Once all that is done, throw everything you've got at the radio tower (yeah, FTL Transmitter, whatever) and bust it up. I believe that triggers an influx of even more Minmatar forces.
5) Is the mission still not over? Destroy the Minmatar Courier and get out.

The difficulty level was quite high before I figured out the way to tackle the mission. Enjoy!
