It appears that the Guristas Pirates has been gathering en masse inside Irjunen. Obviously they have been trying to keep a low profile, as they
have split their armada into multiple groups. But nonetheless my superiors are extremely nervous at these tidings. We'd like you to remove their
presence from Irjunen for good, before more ships enter Irjunen to bolster their ranks. I'll supply you with the bookmarks that you need to find them. Just remember, take no prisoners and let none escape, we want them blasted to smithereens before they know what hit them.
Mission Date 7.12.2006
here is the briefing i got....
============
It appears that the Guristas have been gathering en masse inside Isikemi. Obviously they have been trying to keep a low profile, as they have split their armada into multiple groups. But nonetheless my superiors are extremely nervous at these tidings. We'd like you to remove their presence from Isikemi for good, before they manage to gather enough ships here to launch a massive offensive against one of our strongholds. I'll supply you with the bookmarks that you need to find them. Just remember, do not let them know under any circumstances who you are working for, we do not want to receive a retribution attack should you fail.
============
Objective
Hunt down the enemy fleet and destroy them all before they can regroup and try to take over the system.
Completed with: T1 "Blasterthron", 1x Large and 1x Medium Armor Repairer II, 2x Kinetic and 1x Thermic Hardener (defiler)
Completed with: Dual repairer Domi with wrong hardeners. (Chepe Nolon).
Completed with: CNR with Basilisk support (Storm Mage)
NOTES ON ALL POCKETS:
No aggro at jump-in, so you have a chance to assess the situation.
No drone aggro, I used drones extensively throughout the mission without a hitch
Buildings drop no loot except for some ammo.
Got jammed quite a bit during this mission by everything from frigs to battleships.
FIRST POCKET:
Three groups:
Left (near): 7 Cruisers, 4 Frigates
Straight ahead: 2 Battleships, 4 Cruisers, 12 Frigates
Beacon: 1 Battleship, 7 Cruisers
Went through the groups in that order, didn't get aggro from the others.
Very easy (by comparison...)
SECOND POCKET:
Lower left: 3 Battleships, 4 Cruisers
Straight ahead: 2 Battleships, a bunch of Cruisers and Frigates
Straight ahead at the big asteroid: 6 Cruisers, 3 Frigates
Far left: 12 Frigates
Beacon: 1 Battleship, 5 Frigates.
Note: 2 and 3 are a bit sketchy, at first I thought they were just one group.
Aggro from the second group when I attacked the nearest (lower left).
Ehrys Marakai reports that the first group should be aggroed, since the second and third would cause aggro from everything.
Drone aggro if you got long range drones and you only aggro 50% of the pocket. Having below 50km range does not get you aggro
Should be fairly easy as long as you only aggro one group at a time.
THIRD POCKET:
Near left: 1 Cruiser, 6 Frigates
Near right: 12 Cruisers
Far left: 6 Battleships, 5 Cruisers
Far right: 4 Cruisers, 4 Frigates.
Wow, this was a tough one. Attacked near left at first, got aggro against everything except the fourth group.
Then I warped out and proceeded to probe them, trying aggro against all groups, but then EVERY group would aggro me. Attacked the first group once more, then the others wouldn't aggro until I attacked or got too close (the usual 30km or so I think). Don't know why, maybe it's random. Anyways, once I got to that point this third and last pocket didn't prove much of a challenge either.
This mission is easily doable (all stages) if you turn and burn the moment you warp in. Get yourself to around 85 km before engaging and keep flying away. They won't be able to close with you fast enough to do any real damage. Long range is key here. If you usually use a short-ranged setup, I strongly recommend you choose a different one or you will get quickly overwhelmed. I completed it with a mostly Tech2 Raven.
High: 4x Arbalest cruise racks, 2x Torpedo Launcher II, 2x Heavy Diminishing NOS.
Mid: 1x XL Overload booster, 1x Cap Recharger II, 2x Kinetic hardener II, 2x Thermal hardener II
Low: 2x Power Diagnostic System II, 2x Ballistic Control II, 1x Signal Amplifier II

stupid mission, a waste of time traveling 90km to beacons after rewarps...
2nd and 3rd stages aggro is mostly unpredictable
drones may or may not cause total aggro
first pocket is easy
second and third are quite difficult, best way is to align for rewarp and move in that direction keeping distance from enemy while killing BCs and cruisers first, then battleships, frigs last
This mission is completely different from the 10 part eve info description, since it has 3 main parts.
on the first stage i was able to agro the first group- (the closest) wo agroing the rest, and i was able to use drones too. Then just before i would have finished the first groups BSs i got agro from the secound (bigger) group.
The second and the third stages are somewhat harder as for eg i got full agro on the 3rd part.
I did this mission in a nighthawk- tanking was not an issue at all:
setup: 6x t2 heavy m, gist b-type ballistic, gist b-type heat, and dread guri invul field, copasetic sba, gist x-type large sb, 1x pds II, 3x bcu II, dmg ctrl II
